Never heard of this family, but in reading the reviews, I have can only say, "Don't bash somebody if you've never walked in their shoes!"
I have 5 kids, and went through tough times, but even so, I always managed to find a little money to treat us once in a while. They're all grown now, but they know how to to handle tough times, and how to "live a little" in the midst of them.
Yes, John and Kate were probably a lot better off than we were, but even so, they were just as apt to face tough times.
As for them writing their book for the children, even though they don't have any pictures in it, they probably have photo albums galore of pictures for the family. It will probably help the children to read about their family history, and if there are any mistakes, maybe..just maybe..they can avoid making the same ones. Does the public have to see everything?
If you've never been there, don't knock it til you have.
There will always be someone who sits in judgement.
John and Kate had a good life, but something went wrong. Who are we to judge them for it?
Certainly not me.

This family has made life long decisions about living in the very public eye for monetary gain. Now a book written "for their children" is published and sold. Do they not want anything special and private - even family photos and info? Please ask yourself if you would ever take away your children's privacy, making them all child stars (don't they all turn out ok?) to live in a million dollar house. The children are victims to their parents greed. The only thing that will help is removing the audience that is perpetuating this.

I am posting a review in kinda a response to the one on here by Peri Black. I cannot believe this person would bash them and say what she has. First of all when you are tired and you have little to no money, you treat your self once and a while so you do not get depressed. I know my husband and i have seen hard times before and have had little to no money, but we kept our spirits up by once in a while, instead of going out to dinner which can be almost 2x as much, we went to our local store and spent a little extra on what we would make for dinner that night and do something romantic at home with candles, etc. Please do not bash what obviously you do not understand. I have taken great strength away every night after watching Jon and Kate. I hope that when I finnish reading every chapter of this book I will feel that strength coming from them to me. Thank you

What is the context of the quote? Was that before or after the sextuplets were born? If it was before then I don't think that its a big problem - they wanted to celebrate their pregnancy and feel happy about having 6 babies.

This book is written in an open an honest spirit (just like kate) and was just as i expected ; funny at times touching and even though i have only 3 kids also recognisable . I know some people arent the biggest fans of Kate because of her non-posing open way maybe after reading this book they can understand her a bit better. Great read !
